People's Potential Fund

The People's Potential Fund - previously known as Year-Long Partnerships - support projects which reflect People's Postcode Trust's core themes of:

  • The prevention of poverty
  • Healthy living initiatives
  • Upholding of human rights for vulnerable groups
  • Helping people come together for the benefit of their area

Please note that this is a specific, one-off programme of partnerships for organisations with which the Trust already have a relationship and is not open to public applications or enquiries. Any unsolicited enquiries will be directed to apply to the Small Projects Grants programme.

Details of the projects currently supported under the programme are below.

Well-known charity Barnardo’s received a £100,000 from People’s Postcode Trust to help their child sexual exploitation work across Great Britain.

Child sexual exploitation is a growing problem across the country with a 49% rise in cases over the past few years.

Working at key bases in Devon, Buckinghamshire, Glasgow and Cardiff, Barnardo’s staff will provide one to one support for children at risk of child sexual exploitation, ensuring they receive the care and support they need to further their own safety and wellbeing.  The work will involve a number of different agencies to ensure that no child falls through the net.

Although many of the young people who go through this programme come from very fragile backgrounds, they can have brighter futures with the right support in place.  Barnardo’s work provides them with the chance to move on with confidence and knowledge.
